The Newly Weds!

Psalm 25:10, 12, 13 (Life Application)

10“And when we obey Him, every path He guides us on is fragrant with His loving-kindness and His truth.”

12“Where is the man who fears the Lord? God will teach him how to choose the best. 13He shall live within God’s circle of blessing, and his children shall inherit the earth.”

On the 16th of March 2013, the Lord blessed us with a new son. Our daughter entered into the covenant of marriage with Francois Le Roux! Our joy overflowed as we experienced the fragrance of God’s loving- kindness towards us as Michelle’s parents and also in the way He put the celebration together – And what a celebration it was! The focus not on the beautiful bride and groom, but on their and our heavenly Bridegroom, Jesus Christ.

When Francois and Michelle told us their plans of getting married on 16 March, (before leaving on their yearlong ministry development tour) we had 6 weeks to arrange a wedding and no funds. Being in a faith-based ministry, our outlook has always been to trust for Father's hand of provision. And as always, He came through for us! This is a wonderful testimony of the heart and character of our King.

God did not only honour our budget of faith that we set out to believe Him for, He came and in His glory, more than doubled our efforts. Without asking anybody, God stirred up the body in several different ways to not only meet our needs, but to also cater to some extra wants that we never could have hoped for.

God is busy teaching me a valuable lesson. He desires to do good to His children, He wanted us to enjoy this celebration of love without the worry of finances. His heart is to spoil His children from His treasure chest. He wanted Francois and Michelle to have a beautiful wedding. Both of them pure, serving the Lord with all their heart, their marriage was a symbol of the Church/Bride marrying our Heavenly Bridegroom.

God is a God of abundance, when we put our trust in Him He defies all our limits and boundaries! He used this marriage to bring a community of believers together as one unit – giving of time, finances and service.

It was not only a celebration of the physical, but a celebration of our spiritual heritage in Jesus our Lord and Saviour. All glory and honour to the one and only true God!
