About us

The One Heart Ministry Family

God is truly a rewarder of those who seek Him diligently and faithfully. Faith that demands obedience, but that guarentees blessing! As one of the core-founders of this ministry, I am privelaged and blessed to report that we have been working alongside God for the past 4 years, and it has been a wonderful journey!

Our children have finished school, as well as Unniversity in Johan Jnr's case. He is now the proud owner of a BA degree in Psychology and Recreation. After 4 years of studies, Johan obeyed the voice of God, calling him into full-time ministry as a youth worker with Kohin - An organization that legally places youth workers in schools and works alongside the government to ensure that children are linked to the neccessary welfare departments if and when needed. Johan accepted a post at a primary school in Burgersfort, Limpopo. - God used last year as a training base as Johan has learned a great deal about himself, and how to cope in very different and difficult circumstances. His faith in God's heart and God's vision for his life were sometimes the only reason he faithfully persevered. At the beginning of 2013, God opened doors in Florida, (Gauteng) where he is now working as a youth worker at the primary school in Florida, as well as the NG church. God also opened a seemingly impossible door for Johan's best friend, Rufus Vermaak, who has been working alongside Johan since March this year. Rufus is currently working as a youth worker at the high school, as well as the NG church in Florida. Their main mission is to show the children who God the Father is, and to build a bridge between children and their parents, and the community and the church.

Michelle our daugther, now 22 years old, went into full-time ministry directly after high school. So many people questioning her decision to pursue ministry instead of furthering her studies - In the eyes of the world, a questionable choice considering her exceptional matric results. But for Michelle, there has always been a passion for restoring Abba's image in the the hearts of young girls. Michelle worked at His People church in Potchefstroom for 2 years, gaining a huge amount of basic life and leadership skills. In 2012, she joined the Kohin Organization, with her brother and accepted a post in Wit Rivier at Rob Ferreira high school in Mpumalanga. Michelle married Francois Le Roux, a director of the Northern Cape district in Kohin. Both of them decided to do a ministry development year through the Emunah program - A year in discipleship alongside Gerrit and Martie Nel, who live in Jerusalem Israel.

As for Johan and myself (Mandie Woest), Father's vision for One Heart ministry is becoming more of a reality each and every day. He has empowered us to facilitate (Along with Fisherman's Village) a marriage course of 6 weeks, in which marriage covenants are restored and revived to accurately represent the love relationship between Yeshua (Jesus) and His beloved bride. We are involved in discipling men and women and facilitating small bible study groups. We also work with the White Cross Eagle Foundation in igniting leadership qualities in under-privelaged black schools.

Currently, the Woest family is working in full-time ministry, in various aspects of family life - Primary and high school kids, young adults and married couples. Father is broadening our horizon and establishing His glory in and through us - We look forward to all He has in store for us in 2013!
